Thomas K. Shanner, who goes by “Toby,” was born and raised in San Diego, California. As a graduate of University of San Diego High School, he then pursued a B.A. in English from San Diego State University.
Staying local, he finished his law degree at California Western University, San Diego, California and passed the CA State Bar shortly thereafter. He has been active in the legal community the past 10 years.
Upon completing his education, Toby worked with his father, Robert B. Shanner as a part of Shanner & Shanner for many years. Toby has since started his own practice in Mission Valley in San Diego specializing in financial issues including settling debts, bankruptcy, estate planning and probate. A member of National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys he has participated in over 1000 bankruptcy proceedings. Other legal experience includes personal injury and criminal defense.
